The Drawer Pull is approximately 1" long x 1/4" wide.  It is made of brass or tin-coated brass.

Use of Drawer Pulls

These small pulls were cast to reproduce the hardware for mirrors or caskets.  Each pull is two separate castings and is assembled by hand in England with the custom cut cotter pin. Pulls are attached to the drawer fronts of the three small drawers and one long drawer of the Double Casket.  (Note that the other small drawers are designed to have thin silk thread pulls, like the originals). The pull is shown installed on a historic casket as a replacement in the picture. The bottom pull is an original 17th century pull. The cotter pin is left long to allow it to be used in different thicknesses of wood and should be cut shorter or bent to be nailed into the back surface of the drawer.
