This is now discontinued. The key maker retired after the batch was made almost 10 years ago. Mold gone.
The casket key is approximately 1.25" long and is made of steel. It is a reproduction key and two styles of the grip are sold based on availability of castings If you are buying locks for your own cabinet making or need an extra key for your casket, this is the piece.
For those who own antique caskets, this key has been ground to work in antique locks. I am happy to take returns if it does not work in your antique casket or suggest how to grind the key to work.

Small Escutcheon

The Small Escutcheon is approximately 1-3/4" wide x 3/4" high and is placed over a Type 1 Lid Lock. The escutcheon comes with three tinned pins to attach it to the casket. This escutcheon is used on the trinket box and can be exchanged with the large escutcheon on the panel of a double casket. It is cast in brass and tinned afterwards. This small escutcheon was removed from the sliding panel on a double casket and reproduced.Visit product page →

Small Lid Hinges

Visit product page →The Small Lid Hinge is approximately 1.5" long x 5/8" wide and is used to attach small lids to the casket body. The Double Casket uses two small lid hinges. Each small lid hinge comes with ten screws to attach it to the casket. Each hinge is three separate castings and is assembled by hand in England. Two hinges are needed for the top lid. On the mirror frame with doors you can use two hinges per door if seeing the hinges is desired.

Drawer Pulls

Visit product page →The Drawer Pull is approximately 1" long x 1/4" wide and is attached to the drawer fronts of the three small drawers and one long drawer of the Double Casket. (Note that the other small drawers are designed to have thin silk thread pulls, like the originals). Each pull is two separate castings and is assembled by hand in England with the custom cut cotter pin. The pull is shown installed on a historic casket as a replacement. The bottom pull is an original 17th century pull. Both the original and reproduction is made from brass that is then tin plated or left original.

Mirror Holders (Set of Four)

The mirror holders are made of brass sheet that are hand turned like the originals. These holders are nailed into the side wood next to a mirror and swivel to hold the mirrors in place in their cavity. I am offering them in both tin plated brass (silver colored) and brass (gold colored) to make the scheme you choose for your casket. These are 1.25" long and were modeled right off a set of originals. They are sold in a set of four.Visit product page →
